I said this to my self over and over again as I was going through my weight loss journey. I said it out loud many times and didn’t care who was listening or thought I was crazy. I used this phrase along with several others that resonated with me when I was feeling weak, discouraged or tired. I would use this to pick myself up after I over ate or made a choice that wasn’t going to take me closer to my goal that day.
Along the way there were many days when I felt like quitting and throwing in the towel but then I’d have a little talk with myself and ask myself questions your best friend would ask you like: “Ok, so you want to give up, now what? Are you going to regain all that you’ve lost? Or maybe you think you’d rather be 320 lbs for the rest of your life and constantly be in pain from your neck to your ankles.” And my reply was always the same: “Failure is not an option” I will keep testing ways to bring healthy habits into my daily routine. I’ll try something for a few days or weeks and if I can’t live with it for my lifetime then I’ll try something else. The only thing I would never do is stop trying.
